Using ACPI Power Management Key /Sleep
Congratulations on your purchasing this USB RF Internet keyboard. With seven buttons featured for Internet, this keyboard is the best helper when you surf on the web by using Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 (or later version).
Note: All the multimedia buttons are executed by Windows system instead of the KeyMaestro driver.
In order for the USB RF Internet keyboard to function properly, first install the build-in Windows USB device drivers, and then install the KeyMaestro Input Device Driver.
The USB device driver is included in Windows system.
When the first time you plug in the USB keyboard, the system will automatically detect a new hardware connected and then bring up the "Add New Hardware Wizard" dialogue box. Please follow the Wizard's USB driver installation steps. Once this installation step is completed the basic functions of the keyboard will work under the operating system. You may toggle the NumLock or CapsLock key to see if the LED is lit correspondently, and thus to know the keyboard works well.
KeyMaestro Input Device Driver
You may refer to the following steps to install the "KeyMaestro Input Device Driver".
After installing the USB device driver and make sure that the keyboard is recognized by the operating system.
Insert the disk labeled "KeyMaestro Input Device Driver" into your disk drive.
Open File Explorer to find "SetupKey.exe" from the disk.
Double-click the "SetupKey.exe".
Then follow the screen instruction to install the driver. The default installed path is set to c:\Program Files\KMaestro. You have the option to change the install path during setup.
When all setup procedures are finished, the operating
system does not need to restart. The driver is loaded when you see the driver icon show on the taskbar (lower
right corner of the screen).
Please note that you have to uninstall the driver first if you want to re-install the driver. This uninstallation only can remove the "KeyMaestro Input Device Driver" from your system, not removing USB device driver and other hardware drivers.
Right-click
the driver icon and
select "Exit" command to exit the driver program.
Click "Start" menu (on the left-bottom taskbar).
Move cursor to "Programs" in "Start" menu.
Move cursor again to "KeyMaestro".
Select "Uninstallation".
Click on
the "Remove Program" icon.
Click "Yes" to confirm you want to uninstall.
Note: When the driver installed, the KeyMaestro
driver icon will
show on the right-bottom taskbar.
The driver icon is shown as icon in the Start Menu, when you are going to re-install or exit
the KeyMaestro driver.
Battery Low
When keyboard
batteries are low, the battery low icon will show on the
right-bottom corner on the Windows
taskbar.
When mouse
batteries are low, the battery low icon
will show on the
right-bottom corner on the Windows
taskbar.
The icons
will
disappear when you change the batteries.
LED Indication
Num Lock: The KeyMaestro driver
icon will show as when you press the num lock button.
Caps Lock: The KeyMaestro driver icon will show as when you press the caps lock
button.
Scroll Lock: The KeyMaestro driver icon will show as when you press the scroll lock
button.
The Battery Low icon is with the same LED functions as above.
Your keyboard has the power management key which is also can be called ACPI (Advanced Configuration and Power Interface) key.
It is processed and performed by Windows not KeyMaestro driver. As this ACPI key is performed not completely under Windows 98; the KeyMaestro driver provides an option to enable the ACPI key. When the option is enabled, the driver will take the Windows' place to process this key.

Power off | closes the operating system and powers down the system.
P.S. Although this key is a standard key under Windows 98, Windows 98 processes it as a Sleep key. |

Sleep | puts your system to sleep (power-saving) mode. Any key will wake up your system and return to the previous working status. |

Wake up | wakes up your system and returns to the previous working status. |
These keys are re-programmable. They can be configured as a string, a combination key, a web site, an existing file, or a function the driver pre-defines for you. To reconfigure these keys, click the KeyMaestro icon on the taskbar to select Commands in the Menu.

WWW Home | launches to your Internet Browser application which should be pre-installed. If you have installed two browsers in your system, the system default one will be opened. Mostly the system default is the later installed one. |

Shortcut | provides you to create an easy access to the documents and programs you use most often. The default setting for Shortcut button is to launch Windows accessory program 'Notepad'. |

Volume Control | controls the volume to up or down of your audio output to the speakers. |

If you right-click on the KeyMaestro icon on the
taskbar, a menu will pop up with the following commands.
Click on this command, a customization dialogue box will pop up with following functions.
1. Select a HotKey
* Label
In the "Button Label" box, type the name of application that the button will launch, or any name that will help you remember the function of the button. This label will appear on screen each time you press the button.
* Functions
You can see a list of pre-defined functions and set one of it for the button.
* Launch Application or Website
Type in the path to an often-used application or click the Browse button to select any file in your computer. If you want to attach a web page to the button, just simply type in the website address in the dialogue box.
* Combination Key
In
many Windows application, there are many hot keys to execute some often used
commands. Some of the hot keys are combined with two keys pressed
simultaneously, and some are three. It is not easy to press and to remember
those hot keys. Now you can define those complicated hot keys you always forgot.
Any kind of combination is available. For example,
[Alt] + [F4] = close window,
[Ctrl] + [A] = select all.
* String
You may define the button as a string of texts which needs to be input often. The maximum characters are 500. Taking good advantages of this function can save much your text input time and makes your works more efficient.
2. Enable Display Label
This command is to show or hide the OSD (On Screen Display). When the OSD is enabled, each time you press any one of the multimedia buttons, its function name (button label) will show on the right-bottom corner on the screen. The default of this function is enabled.
3. Enable Taskbar Icon
This
command is to show or hide the taskbar driver icon. When the function is
enabled, you can see a driver icon
its function name (button label) will show on the right-bottom corner of the
screen. If you want to reload it again, you can select Start
=> Program => Configure to launch it. The
default of this function is enabled.
4. Enable Auto Play
This command is to show or hide the auto play function. When the function is enabled, the Microsoft Media Player will show on the screen after you press the “Play” key of the multimedia keys. For Winamp user, you can use the multimedia keys to control the Winamp function after you call out the Winamp and disable the Auto play function. The default of this function is enabled.
Select this command to exit from this driver program, but not to remove (uninstall). After you restart your system, the driver will be loaded again.
In case you have some troubles on installing other programs, we recommend you to exit this Input Device Driver firstly in order to have a cleaner system environment.
